Art Workshops at Arty Boat
Do I need any experience?
No experience at all is needed. All of our workshops are relaxed, beginner-friendly and guided step by step by a professional artist.
What workshops are on offer?
We offer a wide range of creative workshops, including:

Are all materials included?
Yes. All materials, tools and tuition are included unless clearly stated otherwise. Many workshops also include a complimentary drink and biscuits.
Can I bring my own drink?
Yes. Many of our workshops are BYOB. Please check the individual workshop description for details.
Do I take my item home the same day?
In most cases, yes — you’ll take your creation home on the day.
- Take home same day: Kissing Ducks, Kintsugi, Art Classes, Life Drawing, Silver Ring Making
- Resin Chopping Boards: Collected the next day (or shortly after)
- Glass Fusion: Collected approximately 2 weeks later once fired in the kiln
How long do the workshops last?
Most workshops last between 1.5 and 3 hours. Exact durations are listed within each workshop description.
Is there an age limit?
Age limits vary by workshop. Some sessions are suitable for teens, while life drawing sessions are strictly over 18s. Please check each workshop for guidance.
What should I wear or bring?
Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy. Closed-toe shoes are required for workshops. Aprons are usually provided. Please bring reading or prescription glasses if you need them.
How does payment work?
Most workshops require a small deposit when booking, with the remaining balance paid on the day. Some balances are paid directly to the visiting artist (cash accepted where stated).
What happens if minimum numbers aren’t reached?
Very occasionally, workshops with a minimum attendance requirement may need to be rescheduled. If this happens, we’ll contact you in advance to rearrange or refund your booking.
